Share your tips here! I've read about ladies who curl their hair to combat thinning hair. Does anyone have any other tips/secrets/advice to share? Apparently 50% of women by age 55 will have noticeable thinning of their hair, some much earlier in life.
Any specific hairstyles that can make hair appear to be more full?
Apparently skin tone and hair color also play a big part in the appearance of hair loss. For example, someone with dark hair and light skin might appear to have less hair than someone with dark skin and dark hair.
Perhaps slight alterations in hair coloring to match skin tone could be beneficial? |

Hmm dont know about the skin tone thing. How do you blend hair with skin color?
I think the best way is to wear some sort of hair band thing (girls will know what Im talking about) - the ones that wrap around your whole head and are about 2 inches thick. They pull the hair back and can cover balding spots. |

As for hair styles that can make a difference, if a girl pulls her hair back it will cover bald spots as stated above.
Even just a normal ponytail can cover those spots pretty well. |

Are you talking about a sweatband? I can just see all the hot broads at the club rocking those. Actually, at some of the danceclubs I've been to it would help. Hot, sweaty, nasty, some of those girls could use a sweatband, or towel around the neck, or one of those hats with the fan built in. |

I got a hot idea when one of my students, who is black, had her hair done in braids....when her friend was done braiding her hair, my student took out a small jar of cream that was dark colored and proceded to apply it to the extremely white scalp lines that she didn't like.
I started to do the same thing because I have extremely thin hair and a very white scalp.
I ave tried mascara, an eyebrow gel in a tube, and eyebrow powder. Thye all work well for me. You just have to put enough to reduce the shine , and is not obvious. |

I have very thin hair and I have been looking for something to cover the balding areas of my scalp. I have tried the sprinkle stuff and the spray can junk and neither one is a good match for me. I did another google search and ran across a product that kind of "masks" the look of my thinning hair. Since I have tried a couple of things that I didn't like, I was kinda skepticle about trying something else, that was not a medication or a medical treatment. This stuff that I found is a powder that is put on using a brush. Anyway, I called the phone number and they sent me out a free sample of it. It's actually called Scalp Makeup for Thin Hair, but it's for both men and women. The lady on the phone asked me what my hair color is and suggested one of their colors to try. Yes, they sent me out a SAMPLE! For free. I got it in the mail like in two days, and I honestly LOVE IT and have ordered a jar of it. It's the first honestly "risk free" product that I have run across.
I'm so happy with this product that I'm posting my story on all of the blog sites that I've been reading for several years.
Well, here's the address: www.shabocosmetics.com and the phone number that I called is: 877-734-9925. Take a look at their site and give them a call, I swear you will be able to deal with your thinning hair like I can now. This is a seriously Risk Free product to try. You don't even have to send any money or give a credit card number or anything risky like that to get a sample to try. As you can tell, I'm seriously hooked and am so glad that I found it.
Good luck! |

Are these for show only or for hair growth?
Well i would suggest that do not try cosmetic ways which will hurt your hairs. |
